From our Pastor
Welcome to the website of Rockville Baptist Church. I hope this will give you some information about who we are and why we exist. We are a group of people from many different backgrounds who are seeking to know Jesus better. Our desire is to worship God sincerely, walk with him more faithfully, and help our friends to discover his love. As a church we remain committed to the infallible authority of God's Word and the power of Christ's gospel. Each Sunday we study God’s Word so that we might better discern his will for our lives. Our hope is that our church will be a place where God's grace and glory change our lives to follow him more closely. We'd love to have a part in helping you grow in your knowledge of Christ.
When I was a junior in high school, I was convicted of my sinfulness before a holy God, and sought his forgiveness. I received my bachelor’s degree from Pillsbury Baptist Bible College and my master’s from Trinity Theological Seminary with an emphasis in biblical counseling. I have been married to June since 1994 and we live in Plainville with our two children, Olivia and Dwight. I have been privileged to serve Rockville Baptist Church as pastor since 2004. We have enjoyed the warm, friendly atmosphere of this body of believers.
